Side One EP - Release Date 9/23/2014
I produced a huge show at the Anaheim House Of Blues with Jenny Kidd as my opening act. I had fierce dancers, original choreography, a killer band, rad costumes, surprise guests, some original tunes, merch, contests, meet and greets before and after the show, VIPs. All of it. All my vision. Stan Freese even graced us with a tuba solo. We worked really hard and we packed the place. I just really wanted to have a new album to sell for this huge show I had planned. It was kind of a backwards way to do it. Usually you release an album and THEN do a show to promote it, but I didn’t want to show up empty handed. It had to be a very small EP because that’s all my budget (all of my releases before PledgeMusic have been completely self funded) would allow at the time. It was also my very first time being able to offer “Official” Tomasina T-Shirts, Buttons, and Posters! It was a proud moment for me to have accomplished all of this just in time for the show. It’s what I continue working towards doing full time. Creating my own shows, my own music and my own vision for fans all over the state, the country and eventually the world. Yes the EP is small, but it represents a lot of hard work in the right direction.

I’ve been a fan of The Killers since their first album, Hot Fuss, which is where this song is from. The TOMASINA version was a favorite when we played Tomorrowland Terrace so I decided to make a proper studio recording for fans after TLT closed in 2015. I was always able to connect with the message of this song no matter how I was feeling that night.

Released on the last night that TOMASINA played Tomorrowland Terrace. This Disneyland venue had become home to many live bands and fans of bands for 40 years. It was home to me and my band for 15 of those years. When we got the news that our beloved TLT would no longer present live bands we were all shocked, sad and a little lost. I thought this was the perfect way to express to fans how I was feeling.
